Vasicine, coming from the leaves of Adhatoda vasica, is helpful in regulating the inflammatory reaction as well. Vasicine and its derivatives have great potentials to develop safe medications for respiratory and reproductive medicine. Vasicine, a potential natural cholinesterase inhibitor, exhibited promising anticholinesterase activity in preclinical models and has been in development for treatment of Alzheimer's disease.
