Description
Aurantiamide, a natural alkaloid found in the herbs of Walsura yunnanensis, is used as significant anti-inflammatory and antinociceptive. it can serve as the natural compound for inhibiting cysteine proteinases, in particular, cathepsin L (3.4.22.15) and B (3.4.22.1) with IC50 of 12 microM and 49 microM, respectively. It may suppress the growth of malignant gliomas by blocking autophagic flux.
