Description
Tiagabine hydrochloride is an anticonvulsant and selective GABA reuptake inhibitor through inhibition of the synaptic GABA transporter GAT1. Tiagabine increases the synaptic GABA and enhances the neuronal inhibition. It is effective as adjunctive treatment of epilepsy and anxiety disorders.
