Retusin is a natural compound isolated from the leaves of Talinum triangulare. Retusin exhibits potent free-radical-scavenging capacities as well as efficient inhibition of cellular melanogenesis. Retusin is a weak inhibitor of ATP synthesis. It behaves as pre- and postemergent herbicides.
