Description
Questin is extracted from the seeds of Cassia obtusifolia. It is a Cdc25B phosphatase inhibitor with the IC50 value of 34 microg/mL. It is also a promising inhibitor for AChE, BChE, and BACE1. It also strongly inhibited the growth of human colon cancer cells, SW620 with the GI(50) value of 0.9 microg/mL. It displays considerably high immunosuppressive activity and may be used as a therapeutic or preventive agent for Alzheimer's disease. It is toxic to the human A549 lung cell line.
