Description
Liriodendrin is a natural lignan found in the herbs of Linaria vulgaris, it exhibits the activities of anti-inflammatory and antinociceptive. By reducing ROS level, liriodendrin has protective effects on dopamine-induced cytotoxicity via its anti-oxidative properties, its anti-apoptotic effect via protection of mitochondrion. Liriodendrin can inhibit colonization of Helicobacter pylori effectively for its inhibitory activities on gastritis and gastric ulcer, the compound could be utilized for the treatment and/or protection of gastritis and gastric ulcer.
