Isolupalbigenin is extracted from the leaves of Cudrania tricuspidata. It inhibits human glyoxalase I in vitro. It displays promising cytotoxic effects toward HL-60 cells with IC50 value rang from 4.3 ± 0.7 to 18.0 ± 1.7 uM. It has two different antibacterial activities against MRSA including intensifing methicillin sensitivity and inhibiting growth directly. It may be useful for new approaches development against MRSA infection.
