Description

Gelsemiol can be extracted from the herbs of Verbena littoralis. It has neurotrophic factor-potentiating activity. Gelsemiol markedly enhanced an increase in the proportion of neurite-bearing cells and an extension of the neurite length in the presence of nerve growth factor.
