Description
Syringin, isolated from the fruits of Syringa vulgaris, shows platelet aggregation inhibiting and antitumour effects. It is useful for preventing Abeta(25-35)-induced neuronal cell damage. The anti-inflammatory and antinociceptive effects of Syringin after oral administration may be attributed to its in vivo transformation to sinapyl alcohol.
