Description

Danshenol A is an abietane-type diterpenoid isolated from traditional Chinese herb Salvia miltiorrhiza Bunge. Danshenol A has a strong inhibitory effect on aldose reductase (AR). Danshenol A was shown to inhibit the TNF-α-induced ICAM-1 expression by suppressing the ROS-generating NOX4.
