Description
Berberine is a quaternary ammonium salt from the protoberberine group of benzylisoquinoline alkaloids, it is found in such plants as herb of Coptis chinensis Franch. Berberine has been shown to possess anti-inflammatory and antitumor properties in some in vitro systems.
