Description
Bavachin, a natural phytoestrogen found in the fruits of Psoralea corylifolia L, potentially protects cartilage from inflammation-mediated damage in joints of osteoarthritis patients through decreasing IL-1β-induced activation of IKK-IκBα-NF-κB signaling pathway. Bavachin also exhibits the activities of antioxidant, antimutagenic and weak phytoestrogen by binding and activating the estrogen receptor.
