Description
6-Methoxydihydrosanguinarine is an alkaloid isolated from Hylomecon hylomeconoides. 6-Methoxydihydrosanguinarine exhibits anti-inflammatory activity via inhibition of NO and IL-6 expression, and antibacterial activity against Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) strains. 6-Methoxydihydrosanguinarine also induces apoptotic cell death in HT29 colon carcinoma cells dose-dependently.
