Description

2-Hydroxy-3-methylanthraquinone is a derivative of anthraquinone and is extracted from the herbs of Scutellaria barbata D. Don. It enhances apoptosis of THP-1 cells and U937 cells in part through activation of Fas/FasL, DR4, TRAIL and p-p38MAPK, respectively. It causes caspase-8 and caspase-3 activation mediated apoptotic induction.
